A 20+ Year Journey Turning Learning Into Business Impact
As a trainer, I often received content that looked good on paper but didn't actually work in practice. That disconnect sparked a realization: there had to be a better way. I remember thinking, "I could do this better."
That moment led me to discover instructional design. I immersed myself in learning the craft—taking courses, going back to school, and studying how people truly learn. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion.
I was drawn to the creative side of instructional design, but even more to its impact: the ability to help people grow, simplify complex work, and turn training that feels obligatory into something engaging, practical, and genuinely useful. For me, instructional design became a way to change how people experience learning—and, in small but meaningful ways, how it can change their work and their lives.
Over two decades later, that mission has only grown stronger—now powered by AI and focused on driving measurable business outcomes across internal teams, customers, and partner ecosystems.
Most learning programs fail—not because of content, but because they aren't aligned to how people actually perform in their roles.
I believe learning should:
That's how organizations move from training → transformation.
